February is all about shrine maidens✨🧹 The ones I have now are all based in the Akkala region (using the BOTW map). I started with this area, and all their names reflect shrines in the area. This month, excuslive Valentine's Day stickers are for sale in the shop. New art and merch are still to come in the rest of the month! -02/06/26
This region currently has four maidens: Risa, Ke’Ria, Kara, and Dashi.
Having gone through training together, they have grown a strong bond, making them a powerful group of protectors for the area. They stay spread throughout the region to ensure the safety of travelers and the Tech Lab. Gatherings are commonly held at the East Akkala Stable. Under their care, people travel through the land with a sense of relief.
Kara has the crucial role of stable and Tech Lab safety. With one Guardian threatening the area, she is the first line of defense for transverse between the two locations. Civilians must put in a request to travel to or from the Tech Lab, as it is considered highly dangerous without combat training. She must also be informed of anyone wishing to trek into Deep Akkala. Kara also monitors travel to the South Akkala Stable through the Shadow pass, and keeps an eye on the Ordorac Quarry. She is fond of horseriding, and takes every opportunity to ride through the paths of Akkala on her patrols. Travelers stop at East Akkala Stable in hopes she may offer her blessings over their trip.
Dashi set up her post at the Dah Hesho shrine. She checks in with Tarrey Town, and shelters there when weather gets treacherous. Three Guardians remain in the nearby wetlands that everyone remains wary of. Mija of the Great Fairies remains tucked away here, and Dashi feels honored to be appointed her defender. She has cultivated a vast amount of crops and herbs in the forest surrounding Mija’s fountain. The loop of the Kaepora Pass around through the Torin Wetlands is patrolled by her. Access to the Akkala Tower remains impossible with the number of guardians. She can only survey the area and ensure the threat remains contained. Dashi frequents the South Akkala stable, often running into her fellow sisters. Her knowledge of natural remedies and good cooking make her popular among comrades and tired travelers alike.
Ke’Ria is based at the South Akkala stable. She uses her transference to oversee the wildlands of Deep Akkala all the way out to the Gorae Torr shrine. Two Lynels have territories
here, and she confirms their boundaries don’t clash with the nearby population. Ke’Ria enjoys the peaceful silence that normally comes with her patrols, and doesn’t mind the isolation out in the wild. Few people have the experience to come out this far, and Kara has a strict perimeter from the stable to keep civilians from wandering too far out. While the Spring of Power isn’t her birthplace, Ke’Ria finds comfort in visiting to pray and feel close to her late mother. She often visits before returning to her post from her rounds. She is especially close with Dashi, who is regularly at the south stable.
Risa can be found on the shores of the East Akkala Plains. Her strong affinity to water makes the beach homely. She sails the near coastline and around the Rist Peninsula, ensuring the waters remain clear and guardians stay put. Transference is used to monitor Tingle island and the rest of the archipelago. Risa also confirms the Lomei Labyrinth remains untouched and unchanged. No one is permitted within its walls other than the chosen hero. She is a skilled fisher, and uses her patrols as an opportunity. The seafood boils at the East Akkala stable are an event every traveler hopes is happening when they arrive.
All Akkala maidens meet at the stables at the beginning of every month. They alternate between the East and South stable. Weekly prayer is held with the high priestess at the Spring of Power. The region has been relatively stable in the years after the great disaster, thanks to their efforts.
