Currently Learning How to Program

I've been a little less active in my art because I've been taking time to focus on programming for gameplay in video games.

Gaming has been a part of my life for about as long as drawing. My first console was a GameCube, and I grew up playing games like Mario Super Sunshine and Mario Kart: Double Dash. Then The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess changed my life lol. I continue my gaming journey today and keep up with many current games.

Not only have I enjoyed playing games like Stardew Valley, but I also admire the time and effort that go into creating these amazing games. The major for Game Art was just getting started when I was in college. And while I got to participate in many useful classes, I didn't get to major because I, unfortunately, couldn't reach the credit limit before graduation. So, I focused more on my artistic abilities and how to improve my work in illustration. These last few years I feel like I've finally reached a point where I can be proud of the pieces I create and share.

Recently I began considering going back into game programming; both because of my continued interest, and the prospect of getting a better job. I've also been blessed with a great connection to someone with a plethora of knowledge on the topics I'm interested in. I'm excited to pursue this next chapter of my life while continuing my artistic career. I'll still be posting new work, and am working on a posting schedule to keep things organized.

Stay tuned for more work through the rest of the year and beyond ✨
